'Wait and watch' is not a strategy but that is what Sikhs do.
Sikhs are reactive. They are not proactive.
Sikhs do not influence events that affect them. They can only respond to them.
Sikhs are excluded from major decision process as they do not participate in major decision making process.
Sikhs do not go to the negotiating table. They stand outside the room waiting for the news and photo opportunity.
'They will give something to the Sikhs' is Sikh's hope.
The excuse is that Sikhs do not have sovereignty or power.
Sikhs never understand global trends to take benefit of them.
Example is Klemens von Metternich (1773-1859) who was Foreign Minister of Austrian-Hungarian Empire. He controlled the politics of Europe without waging war.
Current example is Prof. Kishore Mahbubani, Diplomat of Singapore and President of United Nations Security Council, who influences economy and geopolitics of ASEAN region in all of South East Asia and even China.
Latest example is 2024 Presidential election where Trump won with less money and without having political power or control over government machinery.
The real root cause is because Sikhs do not support their best and brightest.
Sikhs do not support their best and brightest because of empty pride, and greed for gurdwara funds.
Sikhs spend money on Spiritual entertainment (ਮਨੋਰੰਜਨ), moral self-indulgence (ਮਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ), and catharsis (ਭੜਾਸ)
Sikhs send money to India to fight India. They make India richer while complaining about India.
As a result, Sikhs cannot participate in global events. They can only 'Wait and Watch'.
Learn from famous Financial Times ad: "No FT, no comment". Sikhs should heed the words: 'No knowledge, no action'.
'Wait and watch' and hope that 'They will give something to the Sikhs' does not work.
The world is controlled and runs on intellect. Not political power or money. Compare USA to European Union and China. All three have same GDP and size of economy but USA dominates Europe and China in every way and controls their future. All Europe and China can do is 'Wait and Watch' to USA.

Those with intellect gain money, assets, and political power.
Way ahead for Sikhs is to support your best and brightest and listen to them rather than giving them empty words.
